FAITH FRIENDS
Faith Friends are lay people who make themselves available as listening
and supportive friends for people experiencing any of life’s many
transitions. Faith Friends are present through visits, phone calls,
conversations at church, at work, and in their communities. Faith
Friends
relationships can vary in length of time and focus on any number of
topics. If you would like to have a Faith Friends visit with you, or if you
would like to learn more about becoming a Faith Friends, contact the church
office.
MEALS FOR MOMS AND DADS
Faith Lutheran sponsors a ministry that supports new parents in our
church. It is called “Meals for Moms and Dads”. Following the birth of a child,
the coordinators of the program call and offer the parents a meal made
by members of Faith delivered right to their door once a week for four
weeks. Please contact the church office if a new baby is born in your
family or someone in our church community so they can receive this
service.
PARISH NURSES
The Parish Nurse ministers through our faith community at Faith
Lutheran Church to individuals and families, using health education and
spiritual resources to promote wellness of body, mind and spirit. Parish
Nursing at Faith offers activities throughout the year on a variety of
topics. Blood pressure checks are given by the nurses on the first
Sunday of each month in the church office between services. There is no
charge for this service.
PRAYER CHAIN
If you have a prayer request to share, please contact the church office.
The request will appear in the bulletin and on the telephone and email
prayer chains unless otherwise requested. Due to privacy laws, we must
have permission of the person before we print their name. Requests will
be shared for a three week period and must then be re-submitted.
GRACE MATTERS is a listener supported radio ministry for the
ELCA, hosted by Rev. Peter W. Marty and aired every Sunday.
